Lauren Giglia, DO

Dr. Giglia is the director of Emergency Ultrasound and Resident Education at Scripps Mercy Hospital, a high-acuity, community hospital uniquely situated near the Tijuana, Mexico and California border.

She earned her Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Florida and her degree in osteopathic medicine at Nova Southeastern University. After completing her residency in emergency medicine at Naval Medical Center San Diego, Dr. Giglia completed fellowship training in Emergency Ultrasound at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.

While serving in the US Navy she completed operational tours in Okinawa, Japan and Kandahar, Afghanistan. Her professional interests include providing medical care to underserved communities.
