Dr. Amber M. Hathcock is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine and holds a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her residency in Pediatric Medicine at Duke University Hospital followed by a joint fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Global Health at Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Hathcock’s research interests include global and public health, with a particular focus on injury prevention, health equity, and providing patient-centered, culturally competent care.
